PCOS Education and Support Group schedule change, next meeting Weds 2/06/13

The PCOS Education and Support Group has been going strong for a year now! Many people have reported a conflict with Tuesday evenings so we are going to change the meetings to the first Weds of the month this year (no January meeting, so the first meeting of 2013 will be on Weds. February 6, 2013). It will continue to be at the same time (6 p.m.) and location (Dr. Lunt & Kvarfordt's office waiting room--515 S 300 E Suite 205 St. George, UT). It is still free but a donations are accepted.

We need to recruit some help with the meetings to keep it going. This is a volunteer organization and a nice community offering that we would like to see continue. If you can donate time to help coordinate speakers, pick up refreshments, help with set up before the meetings or clean up after the meetings, etc. Please let me know. If there are any specific topics or speakers you'd like to hear from this year please email your suggestions to me. I would like to thank everyone who participated in the support group in 2012 and look forward to seeing more of you at the meetings in 2013. Happy New Year!

September 20th PCOS meeting to be combined with Dr. Foulk's seminar

PCOS Education and Support Group

Dr. Foulk asked me to speak at his free patient education seminar on Thursday September 20th. It was the same evening we planned to have our support group so we decided to combine the meetings so people would not have to choose between them.

Russell A. Foulk, MD is an internationally acclaimed fertility specialist. He will be talking about infertility and asked me to speak about coping with infertility and PCOS. He will also be seeing patients, in St. George, by appointment on Friday September 21st (for an appt call Utah Fertility Center at 801-492-9200).

Next PCOS Education and Support Group meeting

The next PCOS Education and Support Group meeting will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012. We will continue with once monthly meetings for now due to demand (twice monthly meetings were too much for most people and attendance was down). Further details about the meeting (speaker, topic) to be announced as it gets closer.

Dr. Matthew Peterson, R.E. is offering the 2nd part (of a two part PCOS presentation series), titled "PCOS management-What Works" at DRMC (labor and delivery entrance) on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 7-8 p.m. No RSVP is needed.
