Next PCOS Education and Support Group meeting

The next PCOS Education and Support Group meeting will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012. We will continue with once monthly meetings for now due to demand (twice monthly meetings were too much for most people and attendance was down). Further details about the meeting (speaker, topic) to be announced as it gets closer.

Other community PCOS education offerings:

Dr. Matthew Peterson, R.E. is offering the 2nd part (of a two part PCOS presentation series), titled "PCOS management-What Works" at DRMC (labor and delivery entrance) on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 7-8 p.m. No RSVP is needed.

The Facilitator/Group Leader

The Facilitator (Lisa Borunda) is a Family Nurse Practitioner who specializes in PCOS management. While general medical questions are welcome, questions pertaining to the health of an individual are not appropriate in a support group setting. The support group is a forum for education and support, NOT a replacement for your appointments with your health care provider. The group may occasionally be facilitated by someone other than Lisa Borunda.

Patient/Provider Relationship and Disclaimer

Being a participant in the support group does not establish a patient/provider relationship with Lisa Borunda or Lunt and Kvarfordt, MD’s P.C. Participation in the support group is open to anyone with PCOS. They do not need to be a patient in our clinic to participate in the support group. The information provided in the support group from speakers, the facilitator and individual group participants is intended for educational and support purposes only and is not intended to override the recommendations or treatment plan of your established health care provider.

Adult family members (i.e. spouse, parent) are welcome to attend the PCOS support group with the participant. No children please.

Meeting Attire

No dress code. Please wear comfortable attire.
